We would like to announce the coming arrival of the New Norma NP02 into the USA. The car has been purchased by one of our long standing customers who will be taking the car out to Sebring for its first laps on an American Circuit. This car will get your attention with over 460HP from its 5.0L V8 Coyote Engine and an all Carbon chassis and bodywork that weighs less than 1600 pounds is very quick. There are several of the NP02 that have been running in Europe since its release in 2022 in the GT& Prototype Challenge and have been doing very well with wins in the in the series. We will furnish more photos once the car arrives into the USA.
Alex Kenny the owner of Regulator Motorsports has been very much involved in motorsports in his homeland and we are happy to have him aboard.
Alex will be offering all sales of Norma Nova Proto cars and services that we offer in the USA including the sales of the new NP01 NP02 Prototypes and have available to him used Norma race cars including M20F M20FC and LMP3 used cars. All spares will be available to him for his customers and all factory updates and information will be at his disposal.
The passion progressed with the purchase of a Mallock Mk31 1300cc in 1997 which was developed over the years with bodywork and engine size up to 1600cc with many wins and championships. This car was also my first taste of what a ‘real’ race car was in 2004 after previously racing karts for 6 years.
Since then, in 2011 we bought a Chiron 2L CN which was the start of our new love which was CN Style prototypes. As a father and son team we both wanted to race on track together and an opportunity came up to purchase a 2008 Juno CN 2L ex TFL UK VdeV Car. This was a great success, and I loved this car with many wins and records so in 2015 we purchased the upgraded Spec Juno CN which again has had many victories and a lap record. We had since sold on both the Chiron and 08 Juno and wanted to get back to a 2-car team. Early in 2022 we were looking around for a new CN style car and we came across Jonothan from Aurora Motorsports USA who introduced us to the new Nova Proto which had taken over from Norma for the CN Cars. Everything was exactly what we were after and so we made the decision to invest in a new Nova Proto NP01 Honda Turbo. This is exciting for us personally and as well as our NSW Supersports Category. The ongoing support already has been amazing and as such we are proud to move forward with the latest cars and tech from Nova Proto as well as partner up with Aurora Motorsports to be their authorised Australian dealer as Regulator Motorsports. This will allow Regulator Motorsport to support all existing Australian Norma M20xx and M30 customers and all new Australian customers for used Norma’s and Nova Proto’s to new Nova Proto NP01, NP02 and NP03. Alex is very passionate and knowledgeable about prototypes having grown up with them and raced them for 18 years and is happy to share and assist with all things Norma and Nova Proto from setup, parts and cars or a good old chat.
Alex is extremely excited for this next chapter in prototype racing in both developing his own Nova Proto NP01 car as well as building the Australian Agency with knowledge and assisting with the growth of the category.
